Soliant Education is seeking dedicated Travel Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time contract opportunities across the United States during the 2026-2027 school year. These school-based assignments support K-12 students with a variety of learning, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in public school settings. All opportunities are full-time positions with a minimum of 30 hours per week throughout the school year, which is approximately 36 weeks in duration. Compensation packages include a competitive hourly rate combined with tax-free travel stipends for eligible travelers. Travel Special Education Teachers will provide instructional support and academic accommodations aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Responsibilities include developing and maintaining IEP documentation, collaborating with general education staff and related service providers, and implementing classroom strategies that promote student success. Teachers may work with students who have behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, developmental delays, or other exceptionalities.
Additional duties may include monitoring student progress, participating in meetings with families and school personnel, and maintaining compliance with district and state education standards. Classroom assignments and caseload expectations will vary depending on the school district and grade level. Applicants must hold an active Special Education Teaching license in at least one U.S. state to be considered for these travel assignments. Previous experience writing IEPs is required for all openings. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different school environments are essential for success in these travel-based roles.
Qualified applicants will complete an initial phone screening with a Soliant Education recruiter before being submitted to partnering school districts for consideration. Interviews with school districts will follow based on availability and fit for the assignment.
