Primary Care Mental Health Counsellor

SUD Residential TherapistZepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. The therapist will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide counseling, and facilitate group therapy sessions to support clients in their recovery journey.Schedule:Four 10 hour shifts; 8am-6pm, rotating weekends and holidays. All employees within this department will be required to learn all aspects of their position even when tasks/responsibilities are divided among staff members and/or shifts.Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, American Society of Addiction Medicines Level of Care (ASAM LOC) to evaluate clients' substance use disorders, mental health needs, and related issues.Provide evidence-based individual therapy sessions to clients, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) from a trauma informed lens.Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on relapse prevention, coping skills development, and recovery support.Assist clients in accessing essential services, including medical care, housing, and social support.Provide clients and their families with psychoeducation on addiction, recovery, and mental health.Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge planning and discharge summaries.Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary.Engage in ongoing professional development activities and training.Individual and group therapy techniques.Treatment planning and case management.Cultural competence and diversity awareness.The ability to work with minimal supervision.Other duties as assignedOrganizational Competencies:Demonstrate knowledge of the agency mission, vision, goals and philosophy as well as the policies and procedures.Strives for high client satisfaction by providing leadership and/or assistance to coworkers and clients through the integrated care process.Strives to improve own and agency operations.RequirementsPosition Qualifications:Required:Active LICDC or LPC/LSW licenseAbility to operate a motor vehicle and be insured under agency commercial policyCPR, First Aid and CPI TrainedPreferred:Master's Degree with an active Ohio LPC or LSW licensure.Demonstrated computer proficiency and literacy including proper documentation in an electronic health records system, and the use of Microsoft office products.
