Job Title: Bankruptcy Paralegal

Term: Permanent / Fulltime
Bachelor’s degree required: Our client, one of the most respected mid-size commercial litigation, transactional law, government relations, and public affairs firms in the NYC area, is looking to hire a Bankruptcy Paralegal at their offices in White Plains, NY. This is a full time, permanent role paying an annual base salary of $75K to $85K plus a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Bankruptcy & Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support a busy practice representing creditors, debtors, lenders, investors, trustees, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, and commercial litigation matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys on a broad range of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies, reorganizations, out-of-court workouts, foreclosures, distressed asset matters, and related litigation in federal and state courts throughout New York.
Assist attorneys in all phases of bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Prepare, review, organize, and file pleadings, motions, notices, claims, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Assist with discovery, document management, and production.
Prior paralegal experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, insolvency, commercial litigation, or related practice areas preferred. Experience with CM/ECF electronic filing systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
Paralegal certificate and/or relevant undergraduate degree preferred.
