Bartender Position at Garni Cafe

We are seeking a talented and experienced Bartender to join Garni Cafe, our three meal period restaurant. You will use your mixologist talent to prepare and serve great alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for each guest, every time, all while enjoying the fun that each guest brings. While mixing and creating, the bartender is responsible for ensuring that all state, federal and property specific policies and procedures are upheld.

Responsibilities

Embrace service with a story through creating and serving both distinctive and traditional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests.

Share your personal passions and knowledge of the food, services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home.

Orchestrate an extraordinary guest experience by providing a fun and positive environment.

Be an advocate of our menu offering, receive food orders at the bar, and ensure accuracy before guest delivery.

Qualifications

Experience. Minimum of three years' previous bartending experience in a luxury setting with a working knowledge of Spirits, Wine, Beer and Food service.

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required.

Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.

Flexible. Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekday evenings, weekends and holidays.

Friendly. Must be able to deliver a fun and friendly environment during each guest exchange.

Energetic. Must be able to work within an empowered and fast paced environment that services the bar and servers within the restaurant.

Knowledge. County and state specific Food Handlers Certification, State specific alcohol certification and/or TIPs certification required.

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk, and stand, 6-8 hours per day, and may have exposure to basic cleaning supply chemicals.

The team member is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
