PHLEBOTOMIST - Work only Weekends

Job Description Phlebotomist II Float – Elyria, OH – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekend coverage.

As a Phlebotomy float, you will work in diverse patient centers, collecting venous, capillary and special blood samples for laboratory testing. You will also provide coaching, mentorship and support to new staff and serve as a point of contact for on‑site nursing and support teams.

Pay & Bonus Pay range: Minimum of $20.23 per hour plus potential annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams

Enter billing information and collect payment when required

Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees, as well as be the point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor

Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed

Qualifications Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Experience

Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections

Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred

Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred

Keyboard/data entry experience

Must communicate effectively in English.
