CACI is looking for talented Senior Paralegal professionals to support the Department of Justice’s mission in the Health Care Fraud Unit. Paralegal duties focus upon litigation support as we prepare for trial in the coming months. Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.

Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents; performs moderately complex legal research; reviews case related materials and, for example, identifies potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation; writes preliminary drafts of legal memoranda and correspondence; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery); indexes and tracks exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.

Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria.

Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.

Additionally, at least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience (including internships) related to business, finance or accounting, project or document management, policy, research, government staffing, publishing; Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems, e.g., Relativity, Excel, JEFS/Box.com, Word, Zoom, Teams, Power Point, and social media tools

Hands‑on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure.

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
