Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Weekend availability required (Friday & Saturday)
Job Description
The RN is a licensed professional who uses the nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery, focusing on specific health conditions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient responses.
Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess patients and deliver appropriate care.
Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel based on individual patient conditions and competencies.
Assist patients in transitioning through the healthcare system efficiently, minimizing complications and delays.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience.
Experience with HIE, surfactant administration, and PICC line placement is required.
Active Texas or Compact RN license.
EPIC experience is required.
Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Submission of supervisory references and a detailed resume required.
