Job Description DIRECTOR OF FIRM OPERATIONS – BATON ROUGE, LA
Monday through Friday | Full-Time
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, is currently hiring for a Director of Firm Operations for a respected law firm in the Baton Rouge area. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the firm's administrative, financial, and operational functions while working closely with the Attorney/Owner to support growth, efficiency, and exceptional client service.
Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the firm
Develop and improve office policies, procedures, and workflows
Ensure compliance with firm policies and applicable regulations
Manage office facilities, equipment, and supplies
Financial Management
Oversee budgeting and financial reporting
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
Coordinate payroll and employee benefits administration
Track key financial metrics and prepare monthly management reports
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train administrative staff
Manage employee performance evaluations and professional development
Maintain personnel records and HR policies
Vendor & Facilities Management
Manage relationships with accountants, IT consultants, insurance providers, and office suppliers
Ensure the office environment remains safe, functional, and professional
Assist with business planning and growth initiatives
Analyze firm performance using key performance indicators (KPIs)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or related field REQUIRED
Five (5) or more years of management experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
Experience with budgeting, financial management, and human resources
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software
Financial Acumen
