General Maintenance and Repair Tech (Full Time)

Overview Tucker Freight Lines is looking to add a full-time Diesel Technician to service tractor-trailers and terminal equipment at its Dubuque headquarters. Candidate must be dependable and detail oriented. Looking for someone who is motivated and ambitious to proactively identify issues with equipment and tasks to be completed around the shop. Compensation based on experience.

Compensation and Employment Details Base Pay $25.00 - $30.00 / Hour

Employee Type: FT Non-Exempt

Required Degree: High school

Responsibilities Inspect and perform basic Class 8 tractor and trailer repairs as necessary (e.g., shocks, brakes, tires, etc.)

Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers

Assist other mechanics as needed to complete repairs on time

Create repair orders for assigned repairs and document issues found and repairs made

Accurately bill out necessary parts for repairs performed

Qualifications Detail oriented and dependable

Motivated and ambitious to proactively identify issues with equipment

Ability to perform physically demanding work (bending, lifting up to 75 lbs) and to climb into and under equipment
