Key Responsibilities
Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients, including management of complex and high-acuity cases
Perform and assist with typical ICU procedures including central line management, bronchoscopy, and bedside tracheostomies
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
Float to other ICU units or areas within the facility as needed when census is low, functioning as a competent nurse in alternate settings
Adhere to all unit guidelines including attendance, floating, and weekend scheduling policies
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of hospital or travel nursing experience
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Willingness to comply with facility floating policy and weekend shift requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Rotoprone therapy
CRRT experience, specifically with Prismaflex
Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records system
