Exciting Nursing Opportunity: 12-Hour Night Shifts in Acute Care!
Job Description:

- Unit Notes:

• Radius Rule: 50 miles
• Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility in CommonSpirit.

- RN Orientation:

• Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation
• Open Book exam on skills learned with resources provided
• Must achieve 90% to pass, or will be terminated

- Requirements:

• Driver's license required for submittal
• Compliance with fingernail policy: Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas

- Unit Details:

• Total Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Required Certifications: BLS

- Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:

• Cardiology
• Surgical Oncology
• Urology
• Complex General Med/Surg Patients

- Must-Have Skills:

• Ability to care for a wide variety of patients
• Willingness to teach (precept) and learn

- Equipment and Monitoring:

• RT Equipment: Nasal cannula, - Telemetry: Yes, with centralized monitoring techs
• RNs are able to read basic strips

- Shifts & Scheduling:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Self-scheduling per unit manager for balancing
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes, RTO approved over holidays

- Additional Information:

• Floating Requirements: Per skill level
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
• Orientation: 1-2 days specific to unit
• Cancellation Policy: Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments.
• Charting System: EPIC
