Job Description:


- Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts
- Location: 50-mile radius eligibility; no current employment with CommonSpirit affiliates
- Clinical Role:
- No Clinical Involvement; proceed directly to interview with facility manager
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department (ED)
- Certifications Needed:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- TNCC
- HSS Team (Workplace Violence Training)
- Exam Requirement:
- Must pass an open book skills exam during orientation (90% to pass)
- Fingernail Policy:
- No artificial nails permitted in patient care departments
- Department Highlights:
- Trauma Level: Certified Stroke Center
- Bed Capacity: 18
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity
- Common Diagnoses: All ages, chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health issues, sepsis, and stroke
- High acuity patient treatments including common drips: antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, emergency medications
- EMR System: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Charge Nurse:
- Available on each shift, may take an assignment
- Shifts & Scheduling:
- Available Shifts: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Floating: No
- Block Scheduling: Difficult; may not be guaranteed
- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Orientation:
- 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
- Additional Notes:
- Focus on telehealth solutions and purposeful rounding
- Seeking candidates with a passion for emergency medicine, a positive attitude, teamwork, and compassion
- Must be a self-starter and willing to ask questions
- RTO requirement:
- Upfront, max 7 days per 13-week contract; no additional RTO approved after submissions
- Cancellation Policy:
- Facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Weeks: 91
