Position: UPK Preschool Expansion Lead Teacher

Are you a passionate early childhood educator who believes in creating engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children? As we expand our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Teacher to help build a high-quality classroom environment where children thrive.

The UPK Preschool Expansion Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new or expanding UPK program while fostering strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Assess and document children's progress through observations and ongoing evaluation.

Foster positive relationships with families through regular communication and conferences.

Collaborate with teaching assistants, specialists, and administrative staff.

Support children's social-emotional development and promote positive behavior guidance strategies.

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).

New Jersey State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (P-3) required based on UPK regulations OR Currently enrolled in Alternate Route.

Experience teaching preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.

Strong understanding of child development and early learning standards.

Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
