At Taste Buds Kitchen, the Summer Program Cooking Instructor hosts cooking classes for children from the age of four up into the teens! We are looking for a high-energy individual who enjoys inspiring those around them to have fun in the Kitchen. The right candidate should have prior culinary experience, a passion for the culinary arts, and the organizational skills required to plan and host a great cooking class experience for children. We are looking for candidates with Monday to Friday availability from 11:30am to 5pm during the Summer program season (starting ASAP and ending at the end of August).
More hours are available for those who would also like to work nights and weekends!
Great part-time summer job with the ability for more hours for those with open availability
Competitive hourly pay ($25/hr)
Here are the Summer Program Cooking Instructor responsibilities:
Host amazing cooking classes teaching children from the ages 9-13
Engage and teach guests about various cooking and baking skills related to the class menu
Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction
Sometimes you will work solo, but typically you will manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger classes
Are you the ideal Summer Program Cooking Instructor candidate? You have a natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment
You communicate well with children
You are comfortable speaking in front of a group with an amplified speaking voice
You have at least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults
You have relevant cooking and restaurant experience, but this is not a requirement
You have formal teaching experience and training in education and childhood development, but this is not a requirement

We provide culinary entertainment to kids, families, and adults in a fun, beautiful, and state-of-the-art Kitchen Studio. Kids ages 2 to teen love our hands-on cooking classes, school break programs, birthday parties, and field trips. Adults love our BYOB date night cooking classes, birthday parties, bachelorettes, showers, and corporate events. Compensation: $25.00 per hour
