LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE, PART-TIME (MENTAL HEALTH)

RN or LPN - Part time- 32 hours biweekly

Implements the nursing process to identify residents/patients' needs, using the interdisciplinary team approach to supply appropriate interventions. Provides direct care to residents in accordance with facility standards and standards of nursing practice. Delegates to the LPN, CMA, GNA, unit aid and unit secretary.
Monitors residents/patients' physical/mental status on an ongoing basis, responding to clinical changes and emergency situations. Provides clear, professional communication to staff, residents, medical practitioners and family members.
Answers resident call lights, serving as a role model for all members of the care team.
Completes all documentation as required by facility standards, regulatory standards and standards of nursing practice.
Demonstrates knowledge of and enforces Stella Maris infection control standards, emergency procedures, safety policies, and hazardous material procedures. Responsible for the prudent use of supplies and materials and assures that the environment is maintained in a clean, orderly and comfortable condition, ensuring resident safety.

RN or LPN License
