Human Resources Rep - Recruitment

The HR Assistant II is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for the Human Resources department to run smoothly in the day-to-day operations.
Essential Job Functions Perform weekly payroll tasks to include calculation and payout of sick, jury, funeral and holiday pay. Assist with the hiring and selection process for entry level positions. This includes pre-screen applications, interview and select candidates for positions. Provide quality control for all paperwork scanned over to Central Human Resources for processing for areas of support.
Perform miscellaneous duties including typing (memos, job letters, etc.), D. badges, wage loss verification requests, ordering distributing partials wage forms, SDI claims forms, etc.
Provide support/backup to the HR Business Partner.
Assist in the planning of company recreational events such as cookouts, luncheons, dinners, etc. as well as coordinating travel arrangements as needed.
Qualifications Must be a high school graduate, an AA or BS degree is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of HR experience.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and etc.
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
