Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Genesis of South Bay in Torrance, CA. This role is responsible for managing the dealership’s finance and insurance (F&I) operations, including structuring vehicle purchase and lease deals, securing financing approvals, and presenting financing, protection plans, and warranty options to customers in a clear and compliant manner. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing credit applications, working with lenders, preparing accurate contracts and documentation, and ensuring all transactions meet regulatory and company standards. The Finance Manager partners closely with sales and accounting teams to optimize deal profitability, monitor financial performance, and support monthly closing activities and reporting. This role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financing programs, compliance requirements, and dealership policies to provide a consistent, transparent, and customer-centered experience.
Experience in automotive finance and insurance (F&I), dealership accounting, or financial services, with strong skills in deal structuring and contract preparation.
Proficiency in finance tools and systems, such as dealership management systems (DMS), lender portals, and standard office software (Excel, Word, email).
Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret credit reports, calculate payments, and review financial data for accuracy and compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial products clearly, build trust with customers, and collaborate effectively with sales and administrative teams.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices, such as privacy laws, lending compliance, and dealership F&I policies and procedures.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while maintaining attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment.
