Doctors Hospital: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) provides skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning for patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role involves collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients, including those in the Observation Unit. The nurse is expected to have at least one year of experience and hold an active California RN license.

Perform patient assessments and monitor patient status in the ER and Observation Unit.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Provide skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Manage patient flow and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.

Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.

Cover the Observation Unit for ER hold patients as needed.

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety standards.

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California.

Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.

Ability to wear own scrubs without prints as per hospital dress code.

Experience working with emergency or observation unit patients.

Familiarity with patient care in a hospital setting with 20 rooms and 26 beds.

Float responsibility to cover Observation Unit patients held in the ER.

No more than 7 days allowed for Return to Office (RTO) restrictions.
