Quick2Hire is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room for a 13-week contract at Providence Saint Joseph Hospital Eureka in Eureka, CA.

Position Details

• Position: RN – Emergency Room
• Location: Eureka, CA
• Facility: Providence Saint Joseph Hospital Eureka
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Pay: Up to $64/hr
• Weekly Gross: Up to $2,304/week
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Start Date: ASAP
• Positions Available: 1
• Experience: 1+ year required
• First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Weekend Requirement: 3 out of 6
• Call: Not required
• Float: Yes — travelers may cover the Observation Unit for ER hold patients
• RTO: No more than 7 days
• Rooms/Beds: 20/26
• Visits/Day: Approximately 135
• Average Daily Census: Approximately 105
  

License & Certifications

Required:

• Active California RN License
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Preferred:

• ENPC

Pending California licenses are not accepted.

• General Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Pediatric emergency care
• Psychiatric patients and acute psychosis
• Drug overdose and suicidal patients
• Psychiatric holds and management of violent behavior
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Ventilated patient care and intubation
• Chest tube management
• ABG interpretation
• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Blood product administration
• Emergency medications
• IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation
• CVA and neuro-trauma
• Traumatic brain injury
• Spinal cord injury
• Emergency triage
• Orthopedic trauma
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• STEMI/Stroke certified facility experience
• Shock and trauma
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

• Travelers will help cover the Observation Unit for ER hold patients as needed.
