Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Schedule: Weekend requirement: 3 out of 6 shifts Orientation: 40 hours

Requirements:

• Valid RN license required
• 3 years of RN experience
• Patient ratio experience: 4:1 (days/nights/weekends)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred: TNCC, may be allowed to obtain prior to start)
• Charting experience required: Epic
• Core ED skills: triage, airway management/intubation, ventilator care, cardiac monitor/arrhythmia recognition, ACLS, IV/vasopressor management, trauma/ortho trauma care, pediatric emergency support, behavioral/psychiatric holds, procedural sedation, phlebotomy, blood product administration

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, encompassing diverse age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
• Assess and triage patients to determine the urgency of care required.
• Manage critical situations including airway management and cardiac emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Perform procedures as necessary for patient care and safety.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Pre-approved time off: 2 days
• RTO restriction: No more than 7 days
• May float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities.
