Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting

Assess resident health status and identify changes in condition

Develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered

Monitor residents and promptly communicate significant changes in condition

Perform wound care and other skilled nursing procedures

Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation

Coordinate resident care with physicians, LPNs, CNAs, and other members of the healthcare team

Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff as appropriate

Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care and treatment

Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition

Follow infection-control procedures, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and facility policies

Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality

Qualifications

Active West Virginia RN license in good standing

Previous long-term care (LTC) experience preferred

Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or as required by the facility

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Ability to work the night shift

Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality resident care

Must successfully complete required background screening and drug testing
