Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at our Southdale location in Edina, MN.

Our ED is a 44-bed multifunctional private rooms, Level 3 Trauma Center that treats over 55,000 patients per year. Our rooms are crafted to help all types of patients including mental health, high acuity patients and low acuity patients!
In addition to being a Trauma Center, the Hospital is a Cardiac Center of Excellence and a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Team members include Emergency Physicians, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, Mental Health Providers, Pharmacists and Case Managers.
Our team works in an environment that has both an ambulatory and EMS/ambulance entrance. These areas are supervised by surveillance cameras and have an "emergency signal" to summon additional help. The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shifts (7pm-7:30am) and will also work every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license

• ENCP: If the RN has never had it, need to complete no more than on year post hire.
• 1-2 years of current RN Emergency Department or ICU experience.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Certification through the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (CEN or CPEN)
