FULL TIME Associate Attorney

Senior Associate Attorney/Junior Partner, Latham, NY Salary Range $120,000 - $175,000 Guercio & Guercio, LLP, a leading education and municipal law firm representing school districts, BOCES and other public entities across New York State, seeks an experienced attorney (5+ years) to join its growing Capital Region office. The attorney will be engaged in a wide array of matters including Education and Special Education Law, litigation, contracts, constitutional issues, and labor and employment. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: providing daily advice and counsel to boards of education and school administrators; handling cases in state and federal court and in administrative hearings; and conducting legal research and drafting client memoranda. Candidate must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, strong academic credentials, the ability to work independently, a commitment to exceptional client service, and a desire to help expand the practice. New York State bar admission is required. Prior experience in Education Law, Special Education Law, Labor and Employment Law and/or collective bargaining is preferred, and prior experience as a litigator is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
