Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts, make repairs/replacements under the supervision of a qualified Facilities Technician. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping activities, with strong focus on chemical safety and hazardous waste management.All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the company policies and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.Work extended and/or irregular hours over a period of days or weeks as directed under high-pressure and unpredictable work conditions to help restore power during storms, outages, and other emergency situations. Demonstrate sufficient urgency and diligence in the performance and quality of work, especially in times of stress, frustration, or emergency. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; examining form and texture of parts.Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.Fabricates repair parts by using shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.receiving and incorporating business-related feedback and instruction with a positive and growth-oriented mindset) to achieve desired outcomes, and accountability for personal performance and its impact on others' ability to do their job well.Attending annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling, general safety, quality management, and environmental management.Receives: General supervision given by Assistant Manager and above. With High School Diploma, or GED no experience is necessary; or no diploma/GED with 2 years of experience in a maintenance environment is required.Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.Problem Solving skillsBe mechanically inclinedDemonstrates attention to detailThere is a potential for exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. This position primarily works outside of the office at assigned property location and includes frequent exposure to job-related hazards. Outdoor settings involve a variety of property and site conditions, including open spaces, urban development, flat, hilly, and uneven terrain, stairwells and staircases, and other uneven surfaces that may present tripping hazards and/or other dangers that require diligence in observing and heeding site conditions to ensure safe work. The work environment is fast-paced, high-pressure, and must be performed with an emphasis on quality and working safely while avoiding distractions and interruptions. Monitor, evaluate, and assess job site conditions and equipment functionality, including inspecting, detecting, observing, identifying, and flagging concerns, challenges, hazards, equipment malfunctions, etc. Lift, transport, maneuver, and/or move materials and/or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. on a regular basis in the performance of regular duties in the office and/or in the field, sometimes over uneven terrain or around obstacles existing in a variety of work environments and inclement weather conditions.Move to, from and within our building and across company-related property or field site locations with consistently uneven terrain. evening, early morning, fog, etc.).Maintain sufficient and consistent mobility and agility to respond to issues, hazards, safety concerns, workplace disruptions, and emergencies involving tools, equipment, other team members, and guests.Personnel must successfully complete a program of on-site classroom instruction or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with all job requirements.
