Job Summary:

The organization is seeking a qualified Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) located in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care in a Level I Trauma Center in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0

Required Qualifications: RN license, current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). A minimum of 2 years of ER experience. Candidate must have recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting, hold a valid driver's license, and be within 50 miles of the facility.

Additional qualifications include adherence to the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas.

Screening involves a Pass/Fail exam during the orientation week, requiring a 90% score on an open-book skills exam.

RTO (Return to Office) must be requested upfront for no more than 7 days within a 13-week contract; no additional RTO requests will be approved after submission.

Orientation includes 1 week of onboarding, with 2 shifts at one facility and 1 shift at another.

Candidate must be available for floating to the Express Care (OB) unit and a freestanding emergency department at least once per week.

The environment is fast-paced with high patient acuity, including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes.
