Position: Packaging Engineer
Locations: Fremont, CA | Sparks, NV | Austin, TX | Houston, TX
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Travel: Up to 30%
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end packaging engineering projects.
Design protective packaging, containers, dunnage, and shipping racks.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, NPI, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams.
Use CAD, GD&T, technical drawings, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Support packaging testing, validation, sustainability, and returnable packaging initiatives.
Manage projects, vendors, risks, budgets, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
Strong CAD, GD&T, and technical drawing skills.
Knowledge of machining, welding, injection molding, and packaging materials.
Experience with ASTM/Mil-Spec standards and packaging testing/validation.
Strong communication, risk management, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
