Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible, rotating Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity - Medical Oncology Registered Nurse - Ohio Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; floating required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units Highlights: 36-bed medical oncology unit caring for all solid tumor cancers across the full spectrum of the cancer journey Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy encounters Epic charting system with 72 hours of orientation provided Strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response, physical therapy, and respiratory services Oncology experience preferred but not required; acute medical-surgical experience is essential Rotating shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs Requirements: Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (must be current within the last 12 months) BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Experience with telemetry interpretation and monitoring Proficiency with Epic charting system required Skills in IV management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, and isolation precautions Previous travel experience preferred Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patients navigating their cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care.
