Position: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
Location: Asheville
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5x8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay: $2200 to $2400
Responsibilities
Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories
Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures and provide education regarding the process
Administer medications, moderate sedation, and IV therapies as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures and recovery
Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of endoscopy equipment according to facility protocols
Educate patients and families regarding post-procedure care and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards
Requirements
Active RN License in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy, GI Lab, Procedural Nursing, or related experience
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
Moderate Sedation experience preferred
Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
