Temporary Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care

7E IRU is a 12 bed Intestinal Rehabilitation and Gastroenterology Unit. Nurses work with ostomies, central lines, G and J tubes, NG tubes, and total parental nutrition all in an effort to slowly rehabilitate the intestines. Psycho social components of this illness (and other GI illnesses) complicate the care. The Healthcare Team approach is particularly important in meeting all the complex needs of the patients and families. The nursing staff works very closely with the family and there is a large teaching component to their work. The Intestinal Rehab Team at CNMC has achieved a 98% survivability rate for Short Bowel Syndrome. The unit runs at a fast pace and the children are adorable!!
Requirement description :

• 2 years of Pediatric Experience - Required
• Charge RN or Leadership Experience - Required
• Experience in an ambulatory setting - Highly Preferred
• Will be doing a lot of "back office" type tasks including care coordination, speaking to families, prescription refill calls, etc.
• BLS (AHA) - Required
• Covid Vaccine - Required
• DC License required

Weekend Requirements : No Weekends
