REGISTERED NURSE, Cardiology Lab

Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. This role involves active participation in patient and family education while providing leadership and collaborating with team members and various disciplines to uphold professional nursing standards in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Provide total nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Engage in patient and family teaching to ensure understanding of care plans and procedures.
Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to maintain high standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in nursing required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required, with at least 1 year in a Cath Lab or similar setting.
Certifications:
AHA BLS certification required.
NIH or Red Cross certification required.
Licenses:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a Compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted).

Work Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts per week; start and end times will be determined by the employer.
Weekend on-call responsibilities every 6 weeks, with a response time of 20 minutes required.
Availability for potential late shifts during the week.
Standard 30-minute lunch break.
Additional Information
~ Experience working independently in Cath Lab procedure rooms for a minimum of one year is mandatory.
