Locum | Physician Cardiology

Interventional Cardiologist
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Interventional Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for an Interventional Cardiologist:

Provide interventional cardiology coverage at a Cardiovascular Institute setting
Manage a caseload of approximately 13 patients per day, serving a patient population aged 55+
Perform all hospital work including on-the-floor consults and incoming STEMI management
Conduct approximately 4-5 procedures per day and 3-4 consults
Work collaboratively with 2 physicians in the group
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills with staff and patients
Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient care management
Complete required Cerner training/orientation prior to start date (approximately 4 hours, remote)
Maintain valid AZ license (IMLC only) and active DEA certificate
Maintain Board Certification
Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
Demonstrate a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a comparable specialty/setting
Possess and maintain STEMI skills
Complete medical records in a timely manner
Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days
Adhere to COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or obtain approved exemption
Participate in phone or Zoom interviews as part of the credentialing and onboarding process
