SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND ANALYSIS

Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on cloud-based systems as part of our Systems Engineering / Architecture team. The team is involved in Engineering and Architecture, overall leading all technical aspects of the program that is responsible for Integration and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will involve working directly with various program engineering teams responsible for software deployments, system administration, and overall sustainment of capabilities. The candidate will also take on various challenges that the SE/ARCH team involves program level cyber security, innovation, and cloud management.

Core Qualifications

Top Secret Clearance (with ability to acquire SCI and CI Poly upon hire)

Typically requires BS and over 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.

Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies

Cyber Security experience including accreditation

Ability to identify opportunities and drive improvement

Ability to develop, document, and implement transition plans

Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices

Proactive self‑starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.

Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Preferred Qualifications

IAC experience (CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible)

DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)

Low-level Engineering (Git, Jira, Agile tools/methods)

Architecture experience including developing analysis of alternatives

Understanding of Containers (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate, AKS)

AWS Certification(s)

Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies

Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
