Material Handler Inventory Warehouse

Our team in Batavia is looking for an exceptional person to join their warehouse team as a Material Handler! In this role, warehouse material handlers are responsible for moving parts and materials between production areas by lifting or otherwise moving raw materials and parts. Prepares and coordinates schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and regulate production floor space. Safely operates appropriate equipment (forklifts, hoists, cranes, etc.) required to move materials along the production floor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am- 2:30 pm CST. Occasional overtime is required. Pay is $20 per hour.

9 paid company holidays plus 2 additional company-paid choice holidays.

~ Experience: OSHA forklift and HAZMAT certification are a plus, as is a minimum of one year of Crown forklift experience. Experience with a reach truck is also a plus.

Comfortable working at elevated heights while using reach/lift trucks in a warehouse setting.

Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.

Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies, and procedures.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), preferred.

Crown Reach Truck forklift preferred.

Unload trucks, trailers, and freight containers; Material handlers must report shortages, damages, and misshipments on the appropriate forms. All inbound shipments are moved safely to storage locations to be efficiently stacked as store merchandise.

Order Picking

Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks. Materials handlers must be able to label, stencil, tag, mark orders, band, bundle, wrap, overpack, and palletize as required.

Efficiently move products, cartons, and pallets into trailers, rail cars, or containers.

Equipment

Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Inventory

Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in the computer.

Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Charge the forklift battery as needed; clean railcars, trailers, truck docks, and bays as requested.
