HR GeneralistHoffman Mechanical Solutions is looking for an experienced HR Generalist who is ready to own the employee relations function, contribute to a planned HCM system transition, and bring a forward-thinking, AI-savvy approach to every area of the job. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role with direct partnership with the HR Director and cross-functional teams, built for someone who thrives on variety, moves independently, and takes pride in getting the details right.The ideal candidate combines strong technical HR knowledge with excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to build trust quickly and ensure employees and managers feel heard and supported, delivering a consistent, people-centered HR experience across the organization.Key Areas Of ResponsibilityEmployee RelationsHCM Administration & System TransitionSpecial Projects & Strategic InitiativesAI Proficiency & InnovationPartnership with Talent Acquisition & Training and DevelopmentHR Compliance & OperationsBenefits, Safety & Workers' Compensation PartnershipCompensation & Payroll SupportQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field5 or more years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience with demonstrated employee relations ownershipWorking knowledge of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and I-9/E-VerifyExperience with modern HCM platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Dayforce, or similar); Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI- assisted workflows)Project management experience with the ability to own timelines, manage deliverables, and communicate status independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels, including executive leadershipSelf-directed, solutions-oriented, and able to exercise sound independent judgmentPreferred:SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification, or active commitment to pursue certificationExperience participating in or leading an HCM implementation, migration, or system upgradeExperience in a multi-entity or multi-site HR environmentBackground in the skilled trades, mechanical, HVAC/R, or construction industryHR analytics or workforce reporting experienceWork Setting: Standard office environmentTravel: Up to 20% travel required, including visits to company locations and field sites across the regionHoffman Mechanical Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
