The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is a professional position, using independent judgment to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Human Resources department. Areas of responsibility include customer service and people services, benefits, leaves of absence, HRIS administration and recordkeeping, and training. This person needs to be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and able to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

Functional Area 1: Recruitment and Onboarding

Assists Recruiting Coordinator, as necessary with pre-employment, as necessary.

Assists with new hire communication and schedule onboarding meetings, as necessary.

Assists with new hire processing, as necessary.

As requested, may assist with recruiting related events.

Customer service for new hires and current employees including:

Education and Training

Adjustments and reimbursements, as requested

Initiating internal HR communication when a new leave is initiated.

Changes in HRIS and other systems.

Long term disability and short term disability administrative setup.

Customer service for employees and manager

Function Area 5: HRIS and recordkeeping

Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs

Customer service related work such as password re‑set, answering questions on system use or troubleshooting questions.

Process employment related actions in HRIS (UKG) and related record keeping systems and files.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or two to five years of related experience and/or training; At Rain for Rent®, in‑person work at our offices and/or branch locations is a top priority because it allows us to more effectively collaborate, connect, and builds a workplace culture that drives our continued success. This role requires onsite presence at a Rain for Rent office and/or branch location. Except for limited circumstances, remote and/or hybrid options are not offered at this time.
