Human Resources Recruiting Associate

Location: East Chicago, INCleveland-Cliffs Steel has an opening for an Associate Human Resources Representative at our Indiana Harbor operation in East Chicago, Indiana. The Human Resources Representative is responsible for supporting salaried and union employees on full-cycle recruiting, benefits administration, and employee and labor relations issues. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment supporting a broad range of human resource activities within the operations.Summary of ResponsibilitiesAdminister the internal and external recruiting and hiring programs for the salaried and bargaining unit workforce in assigned plant departments.Coordinate new hire orientation/onboarding.Collaborate in the development and delivery of various training programs.Assist in administering employee benefits, including short-term/long-term disability and restricted work analyses as per the ADA and the FMLA.Assist management in the implementation of company policies and procedures, investigate potential violations, and offer recommendations in the resolution of these matters.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in human resources or related field.Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management systems.The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing.
