Job Summary
Telemetry — Richmond, VA. This position supports patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a newly established 24/7 telemetry unit. Responsibilities include providing medical-surgical telemetry care, performing bedside shift reports, conducting hourly safety rounding, and drawing laboratory specimens.
Job Details
Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; ability to pass a telemetry test; ability to draw laboratory specimens.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with medical-surgical telemetry procedures.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The unit provides continuous telemetry monitoring for patients and maintains a 5:1 patient ratio. Floating may occur to similar units or the Emergency Department for telemetry holds. Required attire is navy blue.
