Position Title: Material Handler
Shift: 1st
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Material Handler at a company in Kansas City, MO. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, stack, and retrieve materials
• Sort and categorize various material handling and storage products according to established guidelines and standards
• Accurately identify products and materials, verifying their quality, quantity, and proper labeling
• Properly band, label, store, and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring accessibility and efficient space utilization
• Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, safe forklift operation, and the use of personal protective equipment
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, material identification, and storage locations
• Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow

• Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified
• Ability to operate and read industrial scales and tape measures
• Ability to work both receiving and order fulfillment
• High school diploma or equivalent job experience required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift
• Ability to work outdoors in the weather elements
