Role Description The Vessel Fitter and Pipefitter role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Conroe, TX. Day‑to‑day tasks include interpreting blueprints and isometric drawings, laying out and measuring materials, cutting and prepping components, and fitting nozzles, heads, flanges, and pipe spools prior to welding. The Vessel Fitter and Pipefitter also aligns and clamps components, verifies dimensions and tolerances, performs basic tack welding, and works closely with welders, quality control, and supervisors to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient production. Maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and using tools and equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, and measuring devices are essential parts of the role.

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and isometric piping diagrams, including understanding weld symbols and tolerances.

Hands‑on experience in vessel fitting and pipefitting, including layout, **fit‑up** of heads and nozzles, cutting and beveling **..**? (Proficiency with shop tools and equipment such as measuring tools (tape measure, square, level), cutting torches, grinders, and basic welding for tack welds.

Basic math skills and spatial reasoning for accurate measurements, layout, and fit-up in a fabrication environment.

Ability to work on‑site full time in Conroe, TX, including standing, lifting, bending, and working in industrial shop conditions.

Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with welders, inspectors, and supervisors, along with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Previous experience in industrial fabrication, vessel manufacturing, or piping installation; vocational training or apprenticeship in related trades is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; additional certifications in fitting, welding, or safety (e.g., J-18808-Ljbffr O&I Fabrication, Inc.
