Telemetry Nurse Weekend Only Full Time Night Shift

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details

This position will work every weekend from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Incentives and Compensation

Up to $20,000 loan forgiveness for new graduate nurses

Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per year

$3,000 relocation assistance for full-time only

Weekend shift differential for qualifying hours between 3 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Weekend option days: WEO rates + weekend differential

Weekend option nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential

New increased weekend option differential: $10.00 RN

Day‑One comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

Front‑loaded PTO/vacation time: up to 80 hours for experienced RNs, full-time only

Employer‑matched retirement funds

Qualifications

Required education, licensure, and certifications:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Personally responsible for acquiring and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire

The Surgical Trauma “3A” unit is a 33‑bed med‑surg telemetry unit focusing on adult post‑operative and trauma patients. Nurse‑patient ratios are: Days 5:1, Nights 6:1.

Clinical Skills

Head‑to‑toe assessments

Reading and posting telemetry strips

IV insertions

Catheter, tracheostomy, and ostomy care

Wound care

Chest tubes
