This role offers the opportunity to manage impactful projects, work closely with senior engineers, and develop strong client relationships. As a key member of our team, you will lead structural design projects, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure exceptional client service. You’ll work under the guidance of our Structural Team Leader, collaborating with architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions. What You’ll Gain:Hands-on experience managing diverse structural projects from concept to completionAn employee-owned culture where your contributions directly impact successProfessional growth through mentorship and continuing education opportunitiesGoals & ResponsibilitiesThis position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:Lead and oversee structural design projects from initial concept to completionManage project schedules, budgets, and client communicationCoordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams (Civil and MEPT)Assist with geotechnical coordination and foundation designDesign structural elements using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood materialsPrepare design documents and review shop drawingsConduct construction site visits and respond to RFIs/ITCsMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidanceEnsure designs comply with applicable codes and standardsQualifications & SkillsThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field (Master’s degree a plus)PE licensure in Iowa, Wisconsin, or bothStrong background in structural engineering design and project managementProficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and structural analysis software (RISA, EnerCalc)Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and foundation systemsStrong skills in code review, structural design, and project managementExcellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working in-office and on-site as neededBenefitsAxiom Consultants is proud to be 100% employee owned.
