Under the direct supervision of the House Supervisor, according to hospital policies and procedures, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for her/his assigned patients.
2 years minimum recent experience in two areas of hospital nursing patient care.
Education Required (Minimum formal academic training which typically provides the knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance. High School Graduate Equivalent Alternate Entry MSN Program
Technical Training
Bachelor’s Degree Major: Required associate degree in Nursing any hires after 05/01/2020. Bachelor’s degree preferred
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must:
- apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire,
- obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license.

David’s Medical Center , part of St. David’s HealthCare, is a comprehensive medical facility with three locations: St. David’s Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin , and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital . David’s Medical Center features a 371-bed acute care hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.
The hospital provides a full spectrum of women's services, including a renowned Level IV maternity unit, maternal-fetal medicine, and a high-risk maternal and neonatal transport team. It also boasts the region’s largest Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and offers outpatient breast imaging services through Solis Mammography, which is situated on-site. Additionally, the facility includes a 24-hour emergency department and a comprehensive stroke center.
