Journeyman Carpenter (Construction)

Carpenter Position

Scope of Position: In this role, you will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter's hand tools and power tools while conforming to local building codes. You will read and interpret construction documents to find information related to the project. Other duties may include installing concrete reinforcement, connection embeds, use of multiple form systems, trim work, door, and hardware installation.

Providing leadership to carpenter helpers, apprentices, and laborers

Erect scaffolding

Maintains or modifies woodwork and other related structures

Occasionally work around hazardous material and equipment

Frame floors, walls, & roof structures

Demolition of concrete and wood structures

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience
