We’re looking for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. You will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities. and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment. Performs all duties under the direction of a Physician. You will help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our Respiratory Therapy team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Conducts patient assessment and interprets patient information and recommends appropriate therapeutic plan of care. Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur. Reads prescription, measure arterial blood gases, and review patient information to assess patient condition. Develops and/or changes plan of care based on the assessment/reassessment process and/or changes in patient status.

Works as part of a team of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to manage patient care. Assumes leadership role as needed, delegates and assists in patient care as appropriate.

Actively participates on committees, councils, policy development and professional organizations as appropriate.

Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment. Provides emergency care, including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Educates patients and their families about their conditions and teaches appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and the use of medications and respiratory equipment.

Performs chest physical therapy, including postural therapy, percussion vibratory, oscillary procedures, suctioning and airway management.

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence

Perform clinical responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations

Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy.
