Temple Sinai Preschool is a play-based, Jewish preschool in Oakland. We strive to create a warm and welcoming classroom and school environment that supports children in positive play, building community, and developing a positive Jewish identity.

Substitute Teacher (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: $23.00 - 26.00/hr commiserate with education and experience. The Substitute Teacher works in partnership with teaching teams to provide responsive support across classrooms. This role helps ensure a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children by actively engaging in the daily rhythm of the classroom. The Substitute Teacher collaborates with colleagues to uphold the school’s values and create a positive, inclusive classroom community.

Contribute to creating environments that reflect the values, identities, and learning of the children
Maintain active supervision of children at all times

~ Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety of all indoor and outdoor learning spaces

Education & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an early childhood or early elementary education setting
• 12 ECE Units

Up to Date Mandated Reporter Training Certificate

• Immunization records (MMR, Tdap, and Influenza)
• Completion of all required Community Care Licensing (CCLD) paperwork
