Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Job Description
This position involves providing specialized care for stroke (neuro) patient populations in an inpatient setting with a variety of co-morbidities. RNs will be responsible for telemetry monitoring, managing feeding tubes, administering blood products, and performing central and peripheral line care.
Responsibilities
Perform telemetry monitoring for patients.
Care for patients with feeding tubes and manage their care.
Administer blood products and provide central and peripheral line care.
Manage PICC line and starting of IVs.
Implement isolation precautions and provide wound care.
Utilize Epic for charting and patient documentation.
Care for patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs) and use nasal cannula for oxygen therapy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring preferred.
BLS and NIH certification required.
Active RN license required at the time of submission.
Pass Fail EKG exam required for all RNs, regardless of specialty.
