Job Description Human Resources DirectorDepartment: 93-638Job SummaryThe Human Resources Director acts in a key leadership role within Kenaitze Indian Tribe whose primary responsibility is the oversight of the Tribe's human resources functions. The Director provides guidance to the Executive Director of Tribal Administration and Director of Health Systems in planning and implementing human resources goals, initiatives and structure in alignment with the Tribe's values and vision. The Director reports to the Executive Director of Tribal Administration and responds to budgetary and performance measures, achievement of goals and strategies, and results of monitoring functions. This position works towards and encourages collaboration with the Tribe's programs and outside agencies to carry out optimal customer care and support services.Essential FunctionsResponsible for human resources strategic and annual planningSupport and promote Tribal and Native hire preference by working collaboratively with the TERO ManagerResponsible for the development and maintenance of the Tribe's compensation and performance management systemsAdminister employee benefits, including workers' compensation insurance process, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
