Elementary Classroom Teacher (Full-time)

Job Title: Elementary Teacher 5th Grade
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate classroom teacher to advance the Roosevelt Charter Academy mission and vision by providing high quality classroom instruction and a focus on continued improvement of students, school, and self. The teacher develops and implements engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities and English language learners. Regular assessment of student learning, achievement, and performance is conducted, with results reported as per school policy. Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Candidate must be or able to be endorsed in the content area, passed the PLACE or Praxis test in the content area, and/or have 24 semester credit in the content area to meet Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) "highly qualified" status.
Previous teaching experience (preferably in elementary education) is a plus.
Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs, is beneficial.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.
Occasional after-school or evening events (e.g., music shows, exhibitions, parent nights).
