Job Description
Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse
Schedule:
Days, 10 hours, 40 hours per week
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Requirements:

• Current nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement the nursing process based on extensive knowledge and experience.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families.
• Deliver care in complex, urgent, emergent, and life-saving situations.
• Coordinate surgical suite activities and direct the surgical team during emergent situations.
• Participate in staff development and professional self-development initiatives.
• Function as a circulator or surgical tech during peak surgery hours.

Compliance / Notes:

• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required.
• Some charge nurse responsibilities may be required.
