Description "Republic Bank believes in the development and advancement of our associates. (The Underwriter III is responsible for complete analysis of loan packages to deliver valid credit decision and ensure the loan file is eligible for funding according to bank, investor, and agency guidelines. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Minimum of 5 years mortgage underwriting experience required.
- Kentucky Housing Corporation delegation preferred.
- Working knowledge of Loan Prospector, Desktop Underwriter and FHA Connection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
Underwrite Portfolio and Secondary market loans in accordance with agency/bank guidelines including FHA, VA, RHS (rural housing) and Jumbo loans.
- Ensure application packages are complete before forwarding to processing area.
- Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
- Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
- Flexible work schedule may include some evenings, weekends and/or overtime.
- Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
